Sweden itself cannot supply that many jets though, It would be far more logical to split the order of jets between the two countries. Unless part of the extra spending on the Canadian military will go to breaking contracts for the F-35s and spending far too much on ramping up manufacturing on the Gripens.
I don’t whether you have read anything about the F-35’s, they are an expensive fighter jet that doesn’t live up to its expectations, much like Israel’s Iron Dome, the hypersonic missile’s Iran shot at Israel went right through The Iron Dome and hit their targets. Iran warned America that they were going to fire at a base in Saudi Arabia and one in Iraq after Fordow, Nantz, and Isfahan were struck. Do you know why they did that? They knew America’s defensive shield couldn’t shoot them down even though they weren’t given that same regard.
Now Trump wants to build a “Golden Dome” to protect America.
And Dan Canada doesn’t have to worry about breaking contracts and making payments for the same, Trump tore up Nafta when he brought in his tariffs. DT
UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES AND A FULL DECK: DT
Trump keeps saying in regards to his tariffs that America holds “All The Cards, Trust Me he Say’s We Hold All The Cards.”
A little over a week ago Trump raised tariffs on all foreign steel to 50%. Canada’s share of foreign steel shipments to the US is a little more than 50%. Six days ago, Mark Carney Canada’s Prime Minister retaliated by banning all shipments of Canadian steel to the US. Ford in The US has already closed several assembly lines because they can’t access the steel. Several big construction projects in New York State have been put on hold for the same reason. Canada has also cancelled the purchase of $80 billion worth of F-35 fighter jets from Lockheed Martin. We are in negotiations with a Swedish firm too replace those planes.
Canada has now found new markets in Europe and Asia for its steel products, effectively abandoning The US market.
Now it appears that Trump isn’t playing with a “Full Deck”. LOL! DT 🤣🤣🤣
